Welcome to the ōndo. By visiting our site and placing an order, you enter into a relationship with us grounded in clarity, intention, and mutual respect. The Nature of the Object: Kiln & Craft

We design for balance — what we call the ōndo. Every piece in our series is a result of the transformative power of the kiln. Because our stoneware is crafted with natural minerals and fired at high temperatures, each object emerges with its own unique "breath."

By purchasing from the ōndo, you acknowledge and embrace the following natural characteristics, which are inherent to the firing process and are not considered defects:

  • Iron Deposits (Black Specks): Tiny dark dots caused by minerals in the clay reacting to the intense heat of the kiln.

  • Pinholes (Surface Pores): Small surface marks that occur as the glaze settles and gases escape during firing.

  • Glaze Flow & Pooling: Subtle variations in the tone or thickness of the glaze where the fire has interacted with the form.

Product images are representative. These variations are the "fingerprints" of the fire; the specific ōndo of the piece you receive will be unique to you.

 

Order Acceptance

An order confirmation indicates receipt of your request; it does not constitute final acceptance. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at our discretion, including but not limited to cases involving product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. If an order is affected, you will be notified promptly and any payments made will be refunded.

 

Pricing & VAT

 All prices are listed in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and include applicable UAE VAT. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time.

 

Governing Policies

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the ōndo shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our products. Our stoneware is designed for daily use, but care must be taken as ceramics are inherently breakable.

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
